HiddenLight Productions is a global studio creating premium documentary, unscripted, and scripted entertainment for TV, film, and digital. We celebrate the best of the human spirit and help our audiences see the world in new ways.

Founded by former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Sam Branson and Chelsea Clinton, the company is led by Executive Chair Roma Khanna and CEO Johnny Webb. HiddenLight is based in London, New York and LA.

We are often asked about our origin story. Sam and Johnny had approached Hillary and Chelsea Clinton about adapting their book The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience as a premium documentary series.  As the conversation developed, we realized that we wanted to create a similar sort of content - we were aligned with our values, purpose and passion. It was a no-brainer to join forces and do something really special and the idea of starting a new production company together emerged naturally.

The name HiddenLight was chosen to reflect our founders’ desire to raise up new talent, diverse voices, and untold stories from across the globe. We are committed to creating films that entertain, surprise and empower; that give us hope and perhaps a greater understanding of the world.

Sometimes the world can be a dark and crazy place and people want to be able to dream, and forget themselves for a short while. We want to invite our audiences to walk in the shoes of incredible characters from all walks of life and to find themselves immersed in a story – whether that’s scripted or documentary. Stories allow us to feel deeply and that’s the greatest gift we can give.
