HiddenLight Productions is a global studio creating premium documentary, unscripted, and scripted entertainment for TV, film, and digital. We celebrate the best of the human spirit and help our audiences see the world in new ways.

Founded by former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Sam Branson and Chelsea Clinton, the company is led by Executive Chair Roma Khanna, CEO Johnny Webb and COO Claire Featherstone. HiddenLight is based in London, New York and LA.

We are often asked about our origin story. Sam and Johnny had approached Hillary and Chelsea Clinton about adapting their book The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience as a premium documentary series.  As the conversation developed, we realized that we wanted to create a similar sort of content - we were aligned with our values, purpose and passion. It was a no-brainer to join forces and do something really special and the idea of starting a new production company together emerged naturally.

The name HiddenLight was chosen to reflect our founders’ desire to raise up new talent, diverse voices, and untold stories from across the globe. We are committed to creating films that entertain, surprise and empower; that give us hope and perhaps a greater understanding of the world.

Sometimes the world can be a dark and crazy place and people want to be able to dream, and forget themselves for a short while. We want to invite our audiences to walk in the shoes of incredible characters from all walks of life and to find themselves immersed in a story – whether that’s scripted or documentary. Stories allow us to feel deeply and that’s the greatest gift we can give.

Hillary Clinton
In every role she has ever held -- as an advocate for women and kids, as an attorney, as First Lady, as Senator, as Secretary of State, and as the first woman in U.S. history to earn a major party's presidential nomination – Hillary Clinton has defied convention and stood up for what she believes.

She knows more than most about setbacks – and comebacks. She has a fierce sense of gratitude for the women who have come before her, and those who inspire her today. She is a mom and a proud grandma who is determined to make the world fairer and more equal for everyone.
Sam Branson
Sam is passionate about the power of storytelling and getting to the truth of stories, whilst finding creative and emotive ways to bring these stories to life. He has over seven years’ experience in media, developing and producing stories from around the globe. Sam’s drive comes from his desire to celebrate strong role models and to empower people to have a positive impact.

He is passionate about biodiversity, the eco-system and protecting the natural world.  A loving son, husband and father of two, Sam believes in telling culturally authentic stories that will create a sense of hope and optimism, and therefore generate a better future for us all.

Chelsea Clinton
Chelsea Clinton is an outspoken advocate for those who need it most. She uses her voice – and a lifetime of experience standing up to bullies – to defend issues of human rights, public health, the environment and climate change, and to combat the spread of misinformation, particularly online.

Throughout her life, Chelsea has been dedicated to supporting young people in their pursuits to change the world around them – first as first-daughter and now as a teacher, best-selling author, and mentor. And, as a mom of three Chelsea is committed to doing everything she can to leave the world a better place for future generations to come.
